I’m Hajime, and I personally manage every part of Ohenro Gift Service, from planning and operations to walking the pilgrimage route across Shikoku myself.
After traveling around the world with a backpack and exploring many parts of Japan, I became deeply drawn to the pilgrimage as a journey where the act of walking itself carries meaning.
I once completed the Shikoku 88-Temple route by motorcycle, and seeing walking pilgrims along the way left a lasting impression on me. That experience became the starting point for this service.
To carry the wishes of someone who longs to go, but no longer can, and walk with that wish in my heart.
That is the spirit behind Ohenro Gift Service, and the reason I continue this work one step at a time.

We complete the journey in the traditional spirit of Kobo Daishi Kukai, traveling across Shikoku entirely on foot without using cars, trains, or any other means of transportation.

Nokyo at Koyasan
After completing the pilgrimage, we include a complimentary dedication visit to Koyasan.
Although this is normally a $350 USD option, for this pilgrimage we will offer sutra chanting and nokyo at Koyasan at no additional cost.
* Live streaming from Koyasan is not included. Nokyo will be received at Kongobuji and Okunoin only.

Sutra Book and Prayer Beads
We provide a pilgrimage sutra book and prayer beads in advance so you can join the chanting during temple visits.
Osamefuda Writing Assistance
We can assist by filling out the osamefuda slips offered during temple visits.
These are normally written by the pilgrim personally, but if that is difficult, we can write them on your behalf for approximately 200 slips.

If that happens, we will upload the recorded footage later to a shared video archive so you can still enjoy the journey afterward.
Can multiple family members watch together?

Yes. There is no limit to the number of family members who can watch.
You can share the streaming link or video URL we provide, which means everyone can watch together on a TV in the same room or separately from different locations on their own devices.
How far in advance should I book?

As a general guideline, we recommend booking 1 to 2 months before the pilgrimage begins.
This gives us enough time to prepare the streaming equipment, arrange the walking schedule and route, and secure accommodations.
Will this bring spiritual blessings?

We cannot make any guaranteed claims about spiritual blessings.
The pilgrimage is ultimately an act of faith, prayer, and intention, so we cannot promise specific outcomes.
How those blessings are felt may differ from person to person, but we respect the possibility that something meaningful may be received through the journey.
